UN-CHAPTERS

UN CHAPTERS;
2.1       UN Chapter AMUCTA is established in a respective university college of St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) under YUNA Constitution.
2.2       According to YUNA Constitution, a UN Chapters falls under the category of ordinary members (are Founder members, UN clubs/Chapters and youth organizations who/which affirm to YUNA constitution). UN Chapters are small associations formed by youth, mainly in high learning institutions students, to function as focal point linking YUNA with youth in the college and universities setting all over Tanzania. Hence UN Chapters are voluntary small association by students in high learning institution, aimed at enhancing their awareness on the work of United Nations. The Chapter offer students an opportunity to plan and actively to participate in various UN priority issues and make a positive contribution to development of the community.
2.3       Through UN Chapters, all youth in colleges and universities setting in all region of Tanzania have the opportunity to get close to the idea and principles of UN. In the UN Chapters, every member matters. Every member is expected to be an active and equal partner in the initiatives to ensure better lives for youth in Tanzania. In that respect, YUNA shall provide technical and resources assistance where possible ensure the UN Chapter implement activities towards this realization.
2.4       The establishment of UN Chapter will have great impact on young people all over the Tanzania and enable young people to engage with the UN. UN Chapter presents an opportunity to coordinate and reach young people through a single structure they recognize and identify with. The drive behind the UN Chapter is to ensure the objectives of YUNA-Tanzania are implemented through educational institutions in the country.
2.5       joining a UN Chapters help young as an individual to identify themselves as part of a certain group or cluster. Besides that, young people have already established and running UN Chapters in their learning institutions get to be part of the following;
            a)         Learning about the UN an global issues,
            b)         Getting involved in the UN and other international organizations,
c)         Participating in various trainings, workshops and conferences in and outside the     country,
d)         The chance to serve the community through a number of programs,
e)         The knowledge and experience is worth in developing an individual career.
